Not at all. While we will enjoy a lot of yoga together and your poses might improve, it isn't our focus. We don't believe you have to be good at doing yoga poses to be an impactful teacher. All levels of experience are encouraged to praticipate.
Our program will provide you with the skills to understand yoga poses and cue them in such a clear and affective manner that you will learn a style of teaching that doesn't rely heavily on your need to demonstrate poses when you teach a yoga class.
Nope, not at all. If you want to learn, we believe there should be no obstacles in your way to receive the wisdom you seek. Yoga shouldn't be an exclusive club, with hoops to jump through to gain access to the deeper wisdom. All are welcome to participate.
You will be required to attend one yoga class of your choosing per week during your training. You will be asked to do observation classes. You will be expected to practice teach what you are learning at home in the time between training weekend.
No written quizzes or tests. Throughout training you will complete several teaching presentations where you prepare a section of class to present to the group that you have been working on.

Yes, participants that sign up for both Tract 1 & 2 and attend all 8 weekends will receive teaching certification and be able to gain employment teaching yoga. Upon completion of our program, graduates will be able to register as a 200 Hour RYT with the Yoga Alliance. Don't worry if that last sentence sounds foregin to you, we will teach you the business of yoga and you will learn what that means.
Absolutely. You are allowed to miss one weekend and still receive certification. If you have conflicts with more than one weekend, it would be best to pass on participating in this session.
